Stock photo

A photo that was taken and then shared online for anyone to use. The conditions of use may involve paying the photographer or providing credit. In the case of paying for stock photos, you are also paying for the privilege of not crediting the creator (e.g., if you are creating a brochure or advertisement). There are a number of royalty-free sources of stock photos, such as Unsplash, Pixabay, and Wikimedia Commons.
